SnapQR

URL QR Code Generator

Paste a link, get a QR code that opens it. Free, and it never expires.

Fill in the form and your QR code shows up here.

Nothing you type is uploaded — the code is made in your browser. No watermark, no expiry.

What should the QR code open?

We add https:// for you if you leave it out.

Quick styles

For placing the code on your own design (PNG, SVG, PDF). Put it on a light background.

PNG, JPG, WEBP or SVG, up to 10 MB. Blank edges are trimmed for you, and error correction switches to High.

Error correction

How much of the code can get damaged or covered and still scan: L 7%, M 15%, Q 25%, H 30%. Higher adds more squares, so the code gets denser. Auto uses M, or H when you add a logo.

White border (quiet zone)

Scanners need clear space around the code — the standard is 4 squares wide. Pick Slim or None only if you’ll put the code on a light area with space around it.

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste your link

Copy it from your browser’s address bar. No need to type https:// — we add it.

  2. 2

    Check the preview

Scan it with your phone right off the screen to be sure it opens the right page.

  3. 3

    Download

PNG for screens, SVG or PDF for print.

Keep the link short

The longer the link, the denser the code. Same space, more squares, smaller squares. Our measurements:

Easy wins: drop junk parameters you don't need (things like fbclid=…), and link to a clean page like yoursite.com/menu instead of a long search URL. No website at all? A text QR code shows a short message, even offline.

Want to know how many people scanned it?

A static code can't count scans by itself, but your website can count visits. Add UTM tags to the link before you make the code:

https://yoursite.com/menu?utm_source=qr&utm_medium=print&utm_campaign=table-card

Visits from the code then show up in Google Analytics (or whatever you use) under that source. Make one code per placement — say, one for table cards and one for the window poster — and you'll see which one works.

Before you print

  • Open the link on your phone. Check it loads fast and looks right on a small screen — that's where everyone will see it.
  • Use https. Some phones warn people about plain http links — and so does our QR code scanner if you test the code with it.
  • Point at a page you control. If the destination might change later, link to your own page and update that page. The printed code keeps working.

Questions people ask

No. The link is stored inside the code, so it works as long as the website is online.

No — it’s baked into the code. Link to a page you control and change that page instead.

No. If you type yoursite.com, we turn it into https://yoursite.com automatically.

Yes. Anything with a link works. For a PDF, upload it somewhere public (like Google Drive with link sharing on) and use that link.

It’s long. Every character adds squares. Remove extra tracking parameters or use a shorter page address and the code gets simpler.
